Berlin, Germany/Düsseldorf, Germany; May 2026 – KORSCH introduces the XT 300 Tablet Press, a robust, single-sided, high-speed rotary tablet press designed as an ideal entry platform into KORSCH production technology. Combining a compact footprint with high performance, the XT 300 enables efficient tablet manufacturing for mid- to high-volume applications – particularly where space is limited.
Manufactured in Germany, the XT 300 reflects KORSCH’s commitment to precision engineering, long-term reliability, and consistent production performance. Designed for single-layer tablet production, the system achieves outputs of up to 324,000 tablets per hour when equipped with a turret with segments, while maintaining excellent weight uniformity.
Advanced control architecture for modern production
The XT 300 features a fully integrated SIEMENS control system, combining PLC and motion control within a single platform. Its open architecture enables seamless integration into existing production environments and provides full compatibility with Industry 4.0 strategies.
The Smart-Touch HMI offers intuitive operation via a wireless tablet interface, supported by integrated help functions and multimedia-guided assistance for operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Comprehensive diagnostics, including remote access, support predictive maintenance and high machine availability.
Proven compression technology for consistent quality
The machine is equipped with the established PharmaControl® press force control system, ensuring precise tablet weight control through continuous monitoring of individual compression forces. Both average and individual compression forces are displayed in real time, providing full process transparency.
With compression forces of up to 40 kN (precompression) and 80 kN (main compression), combined with turret speeds up to 120 rpm, the XT 300 delivers reliable, high-performance tableting across a wide range of applications.
Functional design for accessibility and serviceability
The XT 300 is engineered with a clear focus on accessibility, cleanliness, and ease of maintenance. A rigid force frame ensures maximum mechanical stability, while large inspection windows provide excellent visibility and access to the compression zone.
The streamlined compression zone separates the technical area from the production area. With the technical area enclosed at the back and the production zone right in front of the operator, the layout maximizes user efficiency. The fully integrated base frame houses the electrical cabinet and main drive, resulting in a compact, robust, and service-friendly design.
The upper compression station can be swiveled out, and the lower assembly is positioned in the grey area – facilitating fast cleaning, simplified maintenance, and efficient turret exchange.
Flexible configuration and efficient changeovers
The exchangeable turret system enables the production of a wide range of tablet formats on a single machine. A variety of turret options – including standard die configurations and turrets with segments – support different production requirements and output targets.
A two-chamber forced feeder provides reliable die filling, with feeder speed adjustable via the HMI for precise process control. The extended filling length ensures excellent weight uniformity, even at high speeds. A two-channel discharge chute with a fast-acting rejection system ensures reliable removal of non-conforming tablets.
