Pharmaceutical rotary presses
The XL 200 WipCon® was recently developed to improve operator safety when handling highly-active products when making medium-sized batches; this is a manually washable tablet press with a hand shower in the isolator, vacuum and gloves ports. The tablet press takes up little space and can be easily moved which means it can be easily integrated into existing systems. It was developed for small quantities (100g- 3Kg) in the laboratory (1µg/m³ > OEL > 0.1µg/m³) and small batch sizes (10µg/m³ > OEL > 1µg/m³). Optionally, all the data can be collated and analysed using the integrated analysis system Pharmaresearch®. This opens up new possibilities for product development.
Output
With a pre pressing force of 40 kN and main pressing force of 80 kN in fully automatic, operator-free three-layer mode, this tablet press produces up to 230.000 Tab/h.

The exchangeable turret
New one-sided turret bearings. The complete turret can be removed in just 10 minutes. The whole machine can now be cleaned/retooled in maximum 2–4 hours instead of 12–20 hours.

The power feeder
Optional. Newly-developed 2-chamber filling device. Together with the new dust extraction system, the material loss during tableting compared to the past is reduced from approx. 2–6 % to approx. 0.5–1 %.

Data analysis
PharmaResearch® was specially designed for recording and analysing pressing forces and the punch path. This system can record the data locally or forward it to a central memory on a SQL server in a central network for storage and analysis.
