The XL 800 WIP/WipCon® combines the new Containment technology with all the advantages of the XL Series. The XL 800 WipCon® offers ergonomic placement of glove ports and an RTP port to permit the contained transfer of press tools, hand tools, and machine parts. The compression zone is fully prepared for the WIP environment. The material inlet and tablet discharge are prepared with tri-clamp connections and can be configured with any type of containment valve, based on the OEL requirements of the application. The WIP sequence is fully automated and recipe driven to support cleaning validation requirements. OEB3 execution (>10µg/m³) for minor containment requirements is available too.

Exchangeable Turret
New one-sided turret bearings. The complete turret can be removed in just 10 minutes. The whole machine can now be cleaned/retooled in maximum 2–4 hours instead of 12–20 hours.

DThe carrier plate is detached from the machine casing via oscillation elements. This means that no oscillations or vibrations are transferred to the external machine structure. This makes the KORSCH XL sensationally quiet. The sound level is therefore well below 80 dBA.

Continuous documentation of the following data is guaranteed:
- Only approx. 10 minutes are required to dismantle and assembly the turret and all components respectively
- The number of the parts that need to be dismantled has been minimised
- Separate cleaning of the turrets, tools and components
- Fast exchange of tools and also tool formats
- Short machine downtimes
- After a turret has been exchanged, re-qualification or validation is not necessary i.e. High level of machine availability
